Bud Berry, who with his wife Ann, owns the bakery and grill. Both have full time careers but Bud loves to bake and Annie likes to cook so it’s a hands-on family operation."
We started in Edom, Texas in an old hardware building that we completely gutted and remodeled in 2003. We were then asked by the City of Tyler to take over the food operation at the Tyler Regional Airport. We opened there in January 2006.
The daytime menu for both establishments is basically the same—we call it Country Gourmet. We have traditional breakfasts but also feature Eggs Benedict, Lox and Bagels and Frittatas. Our lunch menu includes up scale sandwich and daily soup items, a ˝ lb. Burger Grande and Bud’s Barbecue smoked on site. We also offer a Shrimp Louie Salad and our signature Strawberry Fields Salad with fresh strawberries and a raspberry vinaigrette dressing.
At night we offer fresh seafood Wednesday through Sunday night, Italian specialties including Pork Marsala and Fettuccini Alfredo, Rib eye Steaks and Prime Rib. On Sunday night we offer Chef’s Café Specials with a wonderful array of surprises selected by Chef Jackson.
We are first and foremost a bakery so that our desserts define our character and distinguish us from the competition. At all locations the baked goods fly out the door and represent a significant part of our business.
