Best Chef
Jackson York, Edom Bakery & Grill: The certified executive chef joined Edom Bakery & Grill full time after previously hosting the grillâ€s once-a-month gourmet dinners. Educated in French-Continental cuisine, he now specializes in “country gourmet” after moving to Edom from Fort Worth. Jackson also teaches cooking classes and is director of the East Texas Chefs Association.
Best Breakfast
Edom Bakery & Grill: The extensive breakfast menu includes bacon, sausage, ham, traditional down-home egg dishes, lox and bagels with capers; eggs benedict; quiche Lorraine, biscuits and gravy, Belgian waffles; fresh seasonal fruit, and a variety of breads and muffins cooked in-house.
Best Salad
Edom Bakery & Grill: Selections begin with traditional favorite strawberry fields: mixed greens, strawberries, pecans, mozzarella, and homemade raspberry dressing. Other choices include blackened chicken Caesar, shrimp Louis, chicken salad, quiche Lorraine, and more. The house salad is mixed greens, Greek olives, feta, and diced tomatoes with lemon garlic vinaigrette.
